Home Delivery Business

Postby homedelivery » Wed Sep 14, 2011 2:19 pm

Hi
I have looked into setting up a Home Delivery Service where customers call the one number and order a range of products available in my area and I order it, collect and payfor it and deliver it at a charge. I have noticed a few services operating this, but I dont know how to go i.e. Sole Trader or Ltd.
Basicially I sell the product at the same cost I purchase it at but charge a Delivery Fee to the customer.

The service is bascially a Taxi for products but how would this business be registered? Sole Trader of Ltd?
Would the cost of the products I purchase be classed as turnover as this would ensure that I have to be Ltd as my turnover is more that €37,500 or would it just be my delivery fee which would be under €37,500.

Any help would be great

I am newer than new but feel like their might be an opportunity for me to develop a home delivery business for staple products that people need every day (toilet paper, dog food, laundry detergent....etc..) and am looking for any and all types of feedback people can offer.
